Robert Kennedy Jr.'s plan to "make America healthy" spares the fatty, salty, and sugary foods that are ubiquitous in the United States.

The richest country in the world is making its children sick, it knows it, and it doesn't plan to do much about it. This is the conclusion that emerges from the "MAHA" strategy, "Make America Healthy Again, " released Tuesday, September 9, by Robert Kennedy Jr., Donald Trump's health secretary.
The 20-page document was eagerly awaited by the entire scientific community in the United States. It was intended to respond to a damning report published in the spring by the same administration, which described in detail "the grim reality of the decline in the health of American children." The data is staggering and the curves are all rising: 40% of the 73 million American children (under 18) have a chronic illness (asthma, allergies, obesity, autoimmune diseases, behavioral disorders, etc.).
The prevalence of cancer, diabetes, and mental illness is on the rise, and life expectancy is falling. One figure sums up the problem: in the world's leading military power, only one in four young people (aged 17 to 24) would be fit to serve in the army.
